The guide did a marvelous job of explaining in both Spanish and English the processes from growing, harvesting leaves, and then pressing them to remove pulp and liquid from the fiber, to preparing the fiber for it's various uses. We saw fiber being combed and then spun into twine, then that twisted together to form ropes of various thicknesses. We then got onto "trucks", or flatbed wagons, pulled easily on a rail system by mules that took us to visit…”
