Spend three to four and a half hours at Hacienda Sotuta de Peón near Mérida. With an English or Spanish guide, you’ll see henequen become fiber, visit a Maya house, ride mule-drawn trucks to Cenote Dzul Ha, and finish with refreshments and a meal.

It felt more like being in a water park than a spiritual Mayan site . The cenote guide did not enforce guidlines no insect repellent, showering before entering and maintaining a respecful silence throughout .”
