★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 49 reviews · 7 hours (approx.) · from $359Our pick

Ride from Prague in a private 4WD with a local guide, then visit a farm, feed goats and other animals, taste homemade products, pan for Bohemian garnets, and eat Czech food at a country pub. Guides may include Martin, Kamil, Nikolay, or Vlasta. The day lasts about seven hours and suits easygoing explorers.

“I was attracted by 'volcanoes' by the title of this tour, but there wasn't but a beautiful mountain view along the road. Our tour guide explained to us in details and drove us to all most beautiful scenery spots for good shots. For lunch, he recommended us for Czech cuisine with local brand beer. TastyAfter that, we were sent to a grocery for potato chips and wine. What a good recommendation! But what memorable most of the tour was trying goat cheese at a farm. Before we ate, we fed. Animals were just like a family, it's a relaxing experience in fa farm.”

“This trip was really excellent and interesting! It combined a little bit of everything: geology, history, local culture, etc. The countryside of Northern Bohemia really is beautiful, and provides a very different view of Czech life than one gets from the hustle and bustle of Prague. Martin, the guide, is superb--very friendly, speaks English well, and very knowledgeable about the region that he clearly loves. Finally, the lunch that is included is also quite good, with full free choice from an extensive menu at a nice local restaurant including beer!. All in all, an excellent value for a very worthwhile experience.”
