Lavender Ranch, Chautla and Val`Quirico.
The best part of this Puebla day trip is its mix of three very different stops: lavender crafts, a castle beside a lake, and an Italian-style shopping village. I like the hands-on soap activity at Rancho San Martín Lavanda, and I like that entrance to Ex Hacienda de Chautla and transportation are included. Guides such as Rebecca, Enrique, Ulises, and Paco have been praised for being punctual, attentive, and generous with local facts.
The main thing to know is that the lavender stop may feel more like a shop and café visit than a full farm tour. The soap-making portion can be brief, around five minutes, so you should book this for the variety of the full day, not for a long agricultural workshop.
